Equipment Spotlight: Budnick's High Speed Table-top Plotter
Budnick's high speed table top plotter answers the trend towards just-in-time production, shorter runs, prototyping and cutting various substrates. Although it produces the same precision parts, Budnick's high speed plotter could be considered superior to non-garnet waterjet cutting because it produces parts faster, is capable of cutting specific depths with its XYZ axis controls, and does not require extra time after the parts are cut to clean and dry them - making it more efficient in many cases. Budnick Converting Gets a Jump Start in Emergency Preparedness Training
Will we be ready in the face of a catastrophic emergency? What if a fellow citizen or employee requires instant medical attention?
These were the questions that got Budnick employees motivated for 1st aid, CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training.
Karen Limestall, Budnick’s HR Manager, said “It is important for us to get trained on these procedures in case of an emergency at Budnick, or in the case of a catastrophic emergency in the community. Both the company and community will benefit by getting more of our employees trained.”
Budnick employees are working with Ken Buss from Columbia EMS on the 1st aid and CPR training. Budnick also has a Zoll state-of-the-art full-rescue AED and an oxygen unit on hand.
Budnick currently has 10 employees trained in these areas with plans to train 10 more employees this summer. Budnick has also teamed with an insurance company that rewards its participants for acquiring this sort of training.
TapeInfo.com, Budnick Converting’s flagship marketing tool, is named one of the 10 Great Websites by Crain’s BtoBonline.com...
Budnick Converting sells and converts adhesive tapes and foams from all of the top industry manufacturers. After deciding it would make the lives of tape users easier, Budnick created a Web site that helps them spec out, research and purchase adhesive tapes and foams regardless of the vendor or supplier. Last December, TapeInfo.com was born, and nine months later it was named one of the 10 Great Websites by Crain’s B2Bonline.
Other companies on the 10 Great Websites list include: 3Com, American Express, Avaya, Bosch Tools, IBM, McAfee, Staples, Swagelok and Unisys.
Karen J. Bannan of B2Bonline says that Today's great Web sites present detailed product and company information in an easy-to-navigate format. They have an uncluttered design that embodies the corporate brand, ditching the bells and whistles unless the bells and whistles improve the customer experience. They engage users in a two-way conversation rather than a one-sided sales pitch. In short, they make customers' lives easier.
Hoa Loranger of the Nielsen Norman Group said, “TapeInfo’s customer-oriented design is noteworthy and not often found on Web sites.”
Kate Everett-Thorp, President-Interactive Advertising for AKQA says, “TapeInfo is a perfect example of some of the complex challenges b-to-b sites face… a useful tool to inform new and existing customers.”
Budnick Converting is a specialty adhesive tape converter and has been in business since 1952. It is a privately owned business in the St. Louis/Metro East area that is receiving national acclaim for its work on the Web and in the industrial arena converting and supplying adhesive tapes.
The Website of the adhesive tape industry, TapeInfo.com is an adhesive tape search engine that has become a popular source among engineers, purchasing agents and operations personnel in the industrial arena to find adhesive tape information, products and converting services.
BtoB, the magazine for marketing strategists, is the only publication dedicated to all disciplines of business-to-business marketing. In print, through e-newsletters and at BtoBonline.com, BtoB provides more than 100,000 senior marketers with the information and analysis they need to develop a winning integrated marketing strategy.
