Budnick supplies a wide variety of adhesive tapes and die-cut parts that are used in various stages of aircraft manufacturing and refurbishing.

Budnick is a multi-tiered supplier to the Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, Truck/Trailer body and Moving and Storage industries. We have implemented ISO 9001:2000 quality compliant standards to meet the demands of the largest corporations in these industries. All shipments are traceable through unique lot numbers and customized certification may accompany every shipment. Statistical Process Control (SPC) data may be included in your job specifications.

Automotive
Automotive manufacturers increase productivity by utilizing pressure sensitive adhesive tapes on traverse wound rolls (spools). Budnick's die-cut masking products improve paint quality while reducing masking/de-masking time. Budnick has created products to reduce paint build up along break lines in two-tone painting. Break line build up requires costly sanding and re-work time.

First and second tier Automotive suppliers utilize Budnick's converting capabilities to provide body and fascia masking, polyester liners, extended liners, emblem and decal positioning templates, mirror attachment die-cuts, surface protection tapes, numerous fastening tapes, electronic component micro parts, squeak and rattle elimination tapes and thermal management products.

Aerospace
Budnick supplies a wide variety of adhesive tapes and die-cut parts that are used in various stages of aircraft manufacturing and refurbishing. Polyester, Teflon® (PTFE), PTFE coated fiberglass, polyimide, foils, masking, vinyls, silicone rubber insulation blankets and fire retardant double coated tapes are supplied to this demanding industry in both rolled goods and die cut parts.

Adhesive tapes are used to hold the composite lay-up during vacuum sealing. Polyester and Teflon® tapes (with silicone or non-silicone adhesives) protect parts from adhesive flash about the vacuum bag.

Tool and adhesive flash masking tapes withstand the pressure and temperatures of composite bonding cycles yet, still remove easily. Pressure sensitive PTFE coated glass cloths protect tool surfaces from abuse and provide a clean release. A variety of surface protection tapes help prevent costly reworks caused by collateral damage. Foil tapes are used for sealing and masking during painting and stripping. PTFE harness wrap tapes are conformable, abrasion resistant, printable and have high dielectric strength.

Marine
To fulfill the unique needs of the Marine industry, Budnick offers the best products from all the different adhesive tape brands.  Our basket of products includes: paper masking tapes, fine-line masking tapes, masking papers, masking films, surface protection tapes, permanent mounting tapes, cloth tapes, duct tapes, vinyl tapes, labels, bonding tapes, Hook-and-loop fasteners and gasketing.

These products are used for a variety of boat manufacturing applications including: paint and gel coat masking, hull surface protection, rail protection, glass protection, plastic part protection, hatch sealing, rub rail bonding, dash board mounting, hull protection, window sealing, cockpit matting, graphics, non-skid surfaces, seat cushion fastening, carpet laying, name plate attachment, squeak and rattle prevention, wire splicing and cable harnessing.

For trailer manufacturers, we provide: reflector attachment, conspicuity marking tape, non-slip surface tapes, paint protection, name plate attachment, warning labels and rating plate attachment.

Truck and Trailer
Budnick provides rolled goods, die-cut foam mounting tapes and foam sealants to trailer body manufacturers. These companies include truck cab, dry freight vans, intermodal containers, school buses, utility trailers, motor homes, high top vans, truck bodies, fire trucks, ambulances, horse trailers and a variety of specialty trailers.

Mounting tapes replace mechanical fasteners to create aesthetic advantages. Fewer rivets on side panels create flat continuous graphics. Further, less holes mean no catalytic corrosion and a decrease in the number of leak points. Mounting tapes require less skilled workers at a lower labor cost and increase assembly line speeds. Mounting tapes are quicker, cleaner and safer than liquid glues. They require no curing, no clean up, no heating chambers and there are no VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) or other emissions.

Polyurethane closed cell mounting foams serve as fasteners when applying body panels to framing. They reduce welds by bonding diamond steel decking on fire truck floors and sides. Mounting foams eliminate messy and costly liquid adhesives when bonding roof bows to the roof skin of trailers.

Compressible PVC (closed cell) foam sealants create water, dirt, and air tight seals under the most demanding conditions. These foams are available in low, medium and high densities. PVC foams remain flexible through the hottest summers and over the coldest winters. These closed cell foams keep water out whether it is applied between the deck and hull or to the roof-to-top rail seam. "Swirl-free" structure allows the foam to maintain its seal even when riveted through. PVC foams won't get brittle, crack, dry out or drip. Pressure sensitive acrylic adhesives offer unlimited "open-time", aggressive "quick-stick", easy application and require no curing time.

A variety of foam blends and profiles of extrusions are offered to the trailer body market. Closed cell foams can be supplied in long length reels (spools) to eliminate joint gaps and increase productivity. Soft (rubber-like) properties form great seals around window units. Excellent memory and easy compression properties make these extrusions beneficial in installing wood floors in refrigerated trailers.

Polyurethane closed cell foam is excellent for sound and noise dampening. It offers a low compression set, which provides long-term sealing integrity.

Metal separation tapes are available in vinyl, polypropylene, and Mylar® (polyester) films. These products can be used between dissimilar metals to prevent corrosion.

Budnick also offers a variety of duct tapes and masking products. Most of these can be converted into user friendly parts such as: die-cuts, kiss-cut parts on a roll or long length traverse wound reels.

Moving and Storage   Moving and storage companies rely on Budnick to manufacture the industry's highest grade inventory ID tags.  For over a decade, Budnick has continuously improved sequentially numbered inventory ID tapes.  We've introduced the industry to a better and more consistent tape, developed a proprietary printing method to improve print quality, discovered a matte print sealant that protects printing without deadening adhesives, innovated double wall plastic cores and began perforating between inventory tags.
